This weeks showcase:

Castle Kyuto

Staged in the Sengoku Jidai period of Japan, this castle was built to both honor the Japanese after the earthquake of 2011 and to bring the spirit of the game Shogun 2 Total War to the M&B series.

I used certain techniques such as resizing and layering props to get a certain feel which appears authentically oriental, all done with native props so it can be used in Native siege.

This weeks showcase:

Citadel Avitus

A massive 3 walled Citadel, this map contains both castle defenses and a fully self contained town. Staged in the Renaissance era, you will find massive cathedrals, jousting arenas, a port and lumber mill among many other things you would expect to find in such an illustrious city. Not used for regular online play due to its massive size, it has been featured in events hosted by myself and Balion, in which everyone had a great time.

I utilized prop flooring on the top level to get a tunnel system going underneath. The map also features a fully functional jousting arena with working scoreboard. Too many features to name or even show in a screenshot, I tried to capture the essence of the map in these shots:

This weeks showcase:

Ruins Struggle

A desperate battle takes place at this site, home to an ancient castle and once thriving town. Little remains but old feuds spark new hostilities.

This map is one of my newest TDM/Battle maps. I focused greatly on all 3 roles to make the map fun for archery, infantry and cav. Cavalry has a great "race course" like ring around most of the map, while there is plenty of cover for infantry as well as sniping spots for archers.

Great work as usual Smile It really looks like a ruin, as opposed to the native "ruins" map. The plants especially make it feel abandoned, conquered by nature.

This weeks showcase:

Castle Nissau

Castle Nissau has been besieged for months. The raiders have burned the city and sacked it, along with pillaging the surrounding farmlands. The defenders have bravely fought off the attackers from taking the main castle, but months of bombardment by catapults and trebuchets have broken a gaping hole in the wall. Siege engines rumbled forward and some fell, but one has arrived. Now is the time for the brave last stand!

Castle Nissau features fully open indoor rooms, a working drawbridge, and many other aesthetic niceties like a garden in the center of the courtyard.

Have you fixed the part of Nissau where you can land on top of the Garden's roof?

So what would you think if a group of my friends and I play as archers and all jump down to that little roof? Laughing

Next thing you know, everybody will be wanting to do the same, and the suicide rate will go up.

Even if you did do that, its exposed and open. Good luck with that strategy.
