River Crossing Castle
Hi all!
Im new here so i think I will start out with a simple map. A deep canyon is in the centeral area of the map with a large bridge crossing it. On each side of the bridge there is a small fort. The Attackers start out and have to break into the first fort, cross the bridge and finally capture the second fort.

Keep in mind these are of a "rough Draft" please dont complain that the bridge looks distorted.
Please say if you like it!

Its just a siege map for GK server. I was able to finish a rough draft, so i can put the spawns, ladders and all of those things later.

Nice man we can definitely host it on GK siege once it's complete. Can't wait to see the pics!

That looks pretty neat, very unique. It looks like its going to be a tough assault though we will have to play test it to see what it's actually like from a soldiers point of view. Whenever you feel its ready to be tested let me know, I will host up a private server and invite some people to come check it out so we can give you some feed back. Looking forward to it!

Yeah but if you get cav I think that it will not be too hard to attack.

I have a wiered bug. The spawns for 32-64 dont spawn anyone, 1-32 spawn only attackers, and defenders spawn at point 0,0? Help?

You have to relabel spawn 1 to 0, then defenders are 0-31, and attackers are 32-63. Flag is 66.

In the space Var No. in the editor you will see a number corresponding to the entry point. Change that.

Got it. I have a bug with the ladders as well. Followed the instructions on the guide exactly but they still wont work.

Are you making sure you are using the siege_ladder_move and not the regular siege_ladder? Also make sure you change the Var No to 100-109, assigning one number to each ladder. So 100 for the first ladder, 101 for the second etc.

OK got another bug. When i raise the ladders i cannot walk on them.

What do you mean? You teleport through them? You just need to restart the map to fix that.

Send me the .SCO file, as well as the terrain code from module_scripts. I will build it and we can meet and test if you would like, or I can test it privately with some of my testers and give you results. Either way is fine. I will PM you my email now.

Ok I found a slew of bugs and glitches, and have some general advice for you on the map. We definitely need to meet. I can host the map on my private server and we can go over it all either on voice chat or in game chat, whatever you prefer. I like the concept of the map, with a few minor adjustments I think it will be hella fun. What time would you like to meet?

I live in the US so times might be messed up. However i think around 9EST would be good for me. I dont have a good mic, so i guess we can meet on some dead server to chat.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been buysy then my power went out. Maybe today around 5 or tomorrow at 10AM would be good.
